  • Key identification features : Tall evergreen trees. Leaves are Elliptic-lanceolate, coriaceous, cuneate at base. Flowers are white or rose coloured, calyx tube is funnel shaped, lobes are 4, distinct, petals are 4, free. Fruit is purple, hemispherical, crowned by calyx lobes, edible.
