- Key identification features : A small deciduous shrub or a small tree. Bark is brown, horizontally cracked. Leaves are simple, up to 10 cm long, 6 cm wide, ovate to obovate, glaucous beneath, eglandular. Flowers are small (about 0.5 cm), white, corolla papillose inside. Fruit is a drupe.
