- Habitat : Semi-evergreen forest
- Key identification features : A large climbing shrub, branches are slender, flexible, deciduous, the bases of which remains as deflexed spines. Leaves are lanceolate or oblong-lanceolate, acute at apex, gland dotted and with glandular pits near the midrib beneath. Flowers are 5-merous, white, in terminal panicled racemes. Calyx-lobes are hairy. Petals are villous on both sides. Drupe is 5 mm across, globose.

- Comments : Rare in plateaus of Eastern Ghats above 1200 m. Fruits are reportedly anthelmenthic, used for digestive and dental problems.
