  • Key identification features : A moderate size deciduous tree with buttressed trunk and spreading crown that displays changing tints when it renews its foliage. Leaves are rather large, elliptic, acute or faintly acuminate with few prominent lateral veins evenly spaced. Figs are stalked, pinkish when ripe. Bark of older regions is grey with horizontally placed tubercles and younger regions are grey brown, covered with adventitious roots.
