- Key identification features : A small tree. Leaves are simple, leaf blade is up to 12 cm long, 9 cm broad, caudate, 5-7 basal nerve, lateral nerves of 8-12 pairs, petiole up to 14 cm long. Figs are clustered on tubercles on the stem, usually in the axils of the fallen leaves, globose, 6-8 cm across, glabrous and purple when ripe.
