  • Key identification features : Large deciduous, monoecious trees with buttressed trunk. Bark is lenticellate. Leaf is elliptic-oblong, acuminate, rounded-cordate, truncate, scabrid and shining above. Male receptacle is orbicular, reflexed. Peduncles are velvety, perianth spathulate, hairy without. Stamens are 4, filaments are very short. Anthers are introse. Female receptacle enclosing, single flower, with 2 bifid, elongated stigmatic lobes.
