  • Key identification features : A slender tall herb, leaves alternate, rhomboid-ovate or ovate-lanceolate, acuminate at apex. Flowers are bisexual, white or cream; bracts and bracteoles hyaline. Anther filaments connate below into a short cup. Ovary ovoid, compressed; stigmas two, recurved. Urticle indehiscent. Seed are orbicular, black in colour.
