  • Key identification features : A slender acquatic, free floating herb, sometimes with rhizoids affixed to the mud. Leaves are numerous, alternate on stolons. Traps are filiform with lateral mouth. Calyx lobes are subequal. Corolla is yellow, often with pink striations. Upper lip is broadly ovate, entire, obscurely lobed. Lower lip is 4-5 mm long, palate and prominently raised. Spur is straight. Capsul globose with winged seeds.
