- Key identification features : A much branched, aromatic subshrub up to 2 m high. Branchlets are quadrangular, glabrescent, grooved. Leaves are membranous, ovate to elliptic-obovate, pubescent on the nerves above, sparsely hairy on the nerves beneath. Verticillasters are about 6-flowered, pubescent on the nerves above, sparsely hairy beneath. Calyx bi-lipped, 1�, upper lip is rounded, prominently nerved above. Corolla white, with acute lobes. Stigma is bifid, villous on the upper half. Nutlet is yellowish-brown, subglobose, minutely verrucose.
