  • Key identification features : Trees with buttressed trunk. Young branches are tomentose, leaves are ovate, acuminate at apex, usually sub-acute, rarely unequal at base. Flowers are white, bisexual, with inflorescence in terminal panicles, corymbose cyme, pubescent. Calyx 5-lobed, obscure. Corolla 5-lobed, oblong-elliptic, reflexed. Stamens are free, filaments slender, glabrous. Ovary obliquely gibbose. Drupe is ellipsoid, 1-seeded.
