  • Key identification features : Erect annual herb with a 4-winged stem. Leaves are broadly ovate, apex acutely apiculate, upper leaves are linear-lanceolate. Flowers are rose coloured, in dichasial cymes, becoming monochasial. Capsule oblong-compressed, brownish.

  • Comments : Often on plains in moist places, exposed slopes, along grasslands and stream banks up to 1000 m. Often associated with other Canscora spp.
