  • Key identification features : Slender prostrate or ascending herb up to 30 inches long. Leaves are odd-pinnate, stipules are lanceolate, leaflets of about 9 pairs. Racemes are axillary, leaf opposed with large pink flowers; standard is dull grey on the rear. Lobes are lanceolate, appressed pubescent and corolla is brioght purple. Ovary is sparsely appresed pubescent. Pods are straight with about 15 orbicular seeds.
