Key identification features : A small annual prostrate herb. Leaves are small, unequal, obliquely opposite, cuneate and fleshy. Flowers are solitary, axillary (less than 1 cm.). Floral lobes five. Stamens 10-20. Fruit is small and dehiscent.

Comments : On plains to 500 m in low-lying marshes, fallow fields etc. Common all over as a weed.
