  • Key identification features : A diffuse silky herb with a stout rootstock. Leaves are simple, cordate-lanceolate, membranous and alternate. Inflorescence is lateral with flowers in pairs, rarely solitary, up to 2.5 cm, bright and beautiful. Pod is sub-orbicular and hairy.

  • Comments : Occasional on foothills of scrub jungles and in moist and dry deciduous forests. Also, along riverside and grazing ground in full sun.
