Key identification features : A glabrous erect branched herb. Leaves are alternate, paripinnate with glands above the pulvinus. Inflorescence is a raceme. Sepals often turn yellow and are hooded. Stamens are about nine. Fruit is a flat pod.

Comments : Fairly common up to 1400 m. Sometimes as a weed. Pods are used sometimes as an adultrant to coffee.
