  • Key identification features : Tall, tree to 10 m hifh; bark ashy brown, smooth. Leaves alternate, elliptic-oblanceolate, cuneate at base, abruptly acuminate at apex, distantly crenate, glabrous above, domatia along the nerve axis beneath. Female flowers solitary, axillary; styles 2, each divided into 2 filiform arms. Capsules usually didymous.

  • Comments : This species has so far been reported in the northeastern states, throughout the Western Ghats and the Andaman & Nicobar Islands. Ravikumar & Balachandran reported from Visakhapatnam as new repots to the district and state of Andhra Pradesh.
