Key identification features : An annual, stoloniferous delicate herb. Leaves are opposite, elliptic with an oblique base. Inflorescences are clustered in leaf axils; involucres narrowly campanulate. Male flowers several, slightly exceeding involucres, female flower 1 with a short stipe.

Comments : On plains to foothills and on hills up to 1200 m, in fallow fields, wastelands. A ready colonizer along new roads.
