- Key identification features : Small trees. Young parts are pubescnt. Leaves thin, chartaceous, obovate-elliptic, acute at apex, narrowed at base, pleasantly acidic, turn deep red before falling. Calyx cup-shaped, shallowly 4-lobed. Fruit purplish-red, edible.
