  • Key identification features : Small annual herbs up to 20 cm tall. Leaves are linear, up to 6 cm. Peduncle long bearing flowers on heads; involucral bracts oblong, glabrous. Floral bracts obovate, acuminate and glabrous. Calyx spathaceous, hairy at apex. Corolla white or blackish white, minute hairy with apical glands.
