  • Key identification features : A large gregarious shrub. Branchlets quadrangular, glabrous or glandular-pilose. Inflorescence of ovoid cymose condensed spikes subtended by four outer leafy deciduous bracts. Corolla pale-blue or whitish, tubular-ventricose and 5-lobed. Stamens 2, attached at the throat below, included. Staminodes 2. Capsule broadly oblong. 4-seeded.
