  • Key identification features : Rhizome long, creeping and slender, covered by lanceolate scales all over. The stipes are scattered, pale brown to dark brown, glossy, glabrous. Lamina is oblong-lanceolate, simply pinnate; pinnae upto 40 pairs, opposite or sub-opposite, two to four pairs of basal pinnae slightly reduced; pinnae of the distal part of the frond decrease progressively in size; pinnae dark green, glabrous above and below, texture herbaceous. Sori two or three pairs, confined to the distal part of pinnae; spores spherical.
