  • Key identification features : Rhizome long, creeping, densely covered by pale brown, multicellular, deciduous hairs all over. Stipes scattered, dark brown to black and hairy at base, pale brown to stramineous and glabrous above. Lamina deltoid-ovate, broadly cuneate, tripinnatifid at base; primary pinnae about eight pairs, opposite or sub-opposite; secondary pinnae upto 12 pairs per primary pinnae, subopposite at base, shortly stalked or subsessile; pinnules upto 20 pairs per secondary pinnae, alternate, sessile; lamina dark green, texture coriaceous. Sori linear, submarginal.
