  • Key identification features : Rhizome subglobose to cylindrical, tuberous, bearing one to three fronds at the apex, many thick, fleshy roots all over; entire plant 3-5 cm long, common stalk about 1.5 cm long, 1 mm wide; sterile blade linear, acuminate, attenuate at base, margin entire; veins anastomising to form four to six series of long, stretched areoles; sterile blade pale green, glabrous; texture herbaceous. Fertile stalk arising from the base of the sterile blade, flattened with three or four veins at the base.
