  • Key identification features : The rhizome is short, creeping and densely scaly at the apex; scales lanceolate, pale brown, entire. The stipes are crowded, slender, dark brown, glossy and glabrous. The lamina is oblong-lanceolate, simply pinnate; pinnae upto 40 pairs, spreading, basal few pairs sub-sessile while others are sessile; pinnae dark green coloured, glabrous above and below; texture thin and membranous. Sori confined to lobes only, linear, sub-marginal along the veins, barrel-shaped; indusia pale brown, entire, sporangia and spores mostly abortive ones.
