Lamina lanceolate, bipinnate, distal one fourth to one-sixth part bearing sporangia; sterile pinnae upto seven pairs, alternate or sub-opposite, shortly stalked; pinnules upto eight pairs, alternate, sessile or shortly stalked; pinnae pale green to rufous brown, glabrous; texture subcoriaceous, stiff; fertile pinnules compressed, panicle forming, cylindrical, bearing large spherical sporangia all over the branches; spores trilete, globose.
