  • Key identification features : Rhizome is wide creeping, profusely branched, scaly at the apex. Lamina elliptic-lanceolate, simply pinnate; pinnae upto 27 pairs, subopposite or alternate, sessile or very shortly stalked, basal pinnae not reduced, few pairs of distal pinnae rather abruptly reduced; lower surface of costa, rachis, costules, veins and interveinal areas densely covered by long, soft aciular or capitate hairs, upper surface of the pinnae glabrous; texture chartaceous, lamina pale green; sori median on the veins, upto eight pairs in two rows arranged in v-shape; sori indusiate, sporangial stalk bearing capitate hairs; spores monolete, ellipsoidal.
