  • Key identification features : Rhizome is long, creeping, rarely erect; rhizome scales linear-lanceolate, margin entire or with very few minute hairs. Stipes 2.5 cm apart, grey-green, scaly at the base, covered by few short or long hairs at top, the rest glabrous. Lamina deltoid, broadly ovate or cordate; rachis copiously covered by long and short hairs;pinnae upto 13-20 pairs, opposite at base; pinnae linear-lanceolate, sessile, apex acuminate, margin lobed one-third to two-third to the costa; lobes upto 20 pairs; costa densely covered by long and short hairs above and below; pinnae pale green. Sori median or submarginal on the veins, upto five pairs, often only the lowermost vein bearing sori, indusia densely hairy; spores bean shaped.
