  • Key identification features : Rhizome is short, creeping and densely covered by lanceolate scales all over. Stipes are crowded, arranged in two rows, stramineous to greyish, flattened below, sparsely scaly throughout including rachis. Lamina simply pinnate, narrowly deltoid, progressively narrowed from the base to the apex, bearing terminal pinnae slightly different from the others; pinnae upto 6 pairs, slightly ascending, sessile, margin sub-entire, crenate or serrate; pinnae glabrous above and below, dark green, texture herbaceous; fertile fronds upto 8 pairs, alternate, margin entire; sori acrostichoid; spores abortive.
