  • Key identification features : The rhizome is erect or sub-erect and densely scaly at the apex. The stipes are tufted, slender, dark brown, sparsely scaly at the very base, glabrous and glossy above. The lamina is oblong-lanceolate, bipinnate or tripinnate; primary pinnae upto 10 pairs, alternate and lanceolate. The pinnae is pale green or dark green, glabrous above and below; texture thin and herbaceous. The sori are distributed all along the margin of the pinnule, except acroscopic and basiscopic bases; indusia reniform, glabrous, pale brown, papery; spores tetrahedral.
