  • Key identification features : Rhizome long creeping, upto 3 mm thick, densely covered by appressed and lanceolate scales. Fronds simple, monomorphic; stipes scattered, dark brown, more or less scaly above; lamina linear-elliptic, margin entire; midrib slightly raised and rounded above and below, veins indistinct above and below; fronds pale green; texture subcoriaceous, pale brown appressed scales densely covering both surfaces of young fronds. Sori superficial, median between midrib and margin of the frond distributed towards distal half of the lamina, hemispherical; spores monolete, ellipsoid or planoconvex, pale brown.
