- Key identification features : Densely foliaceous deciduous tree upto 10 m tall. Bark is dark grey in colour, fairly smooth with horizontal wrinkles. Branchlets lenticelled. Wood is yellow-white, close grained. Branchlets greyish-brown when dry. Leaves 3-foliolate, chartaceous, ovate-lanceolate, glabrous, pale beneath, base attenuate, margin entire, apex abruptly acuminate. Flowers are greenish white, in dense terminal corymbs. Berry oblong, woody, yellowish-grey. Seeds are numerous embedded in pulp.
