Roxb. and T. paniculata Roth amidst grasses and on field bunds at Tinaighat in Belgaum district at about 650 m and in cultivated areas with sandy soil in plantation of Acacia auriculiformis Benth. at Bidargad in Shimoga district, reaching up to 800 m. (Dessai & Janarthanam, 2011)
