  • Key identification features : A tree with big attractive yellow flowers. Large are simple irregularly lobed. Flowers are 5-7 cm across occuring in lax panicles at the branch end. Petal 5 and spoon-shaped. Stamens many. Fruit 4-5 cm, 3-winged, heart shaped and covered with long stiff prickles, Fruit is edible.
