  • Key identification features : A large tree. Leaves are simple, alternate, stipulate and palmately-ribbed. Flowers are in axillary fascicles. Sepals are thick, strap-like and woolly. Corolla is white with a long basal tube and spreading free lobes. Fruit is angled and furfuraceous capsule. Bark greyish, rough and corky.
