  • Key identification features : An erect or procumbent herb, branching from the base. Leaves are opposite, ovate or ovate-lanceolate, margin is serrate and apex is acute. Flowers are axillary, 2-4 clustered, pedicellate. Calyx tube is diallated above, corolla is blue. Stamens 4, didynamous. Capsule is oblong, septicidal and with many seeds being rugose.
