  • Key identification features : Annual erect herbs with tetragonous branches. Leaves are opposite, ovate with crenate margin with an acute apex, glabrous and long petiole. Flowers are pedicellate, axillary, solitary or 3-clustered. Calyx is winged, about a cm long. 2-lipped, with corolla being pale blue or white. Capsule is oblong-elliptic, septicidal enclosing minute seeds.
