  • Key identification features : A root parasite with purplish or white flowers and leaves- which are reduced to scales. Calyx ribs are 5, obscure and running to the apex of lobes. Corolla is lilac.

  • Comments : Occasional on hill tops and roadsides, amongst huge boulders in plains & at low elevations upto 600m alt. Plants used for treatment of diabetes. Root parasite on Lepidagathis spp.
