  • Key identification features : A moderate-sized deciduous tree. Leaves are large, compound with oblong leaflets, sessile, broader at the apex, which are reddish when young and dark green when mature. Flowers are small in panicles at the nodes. Sepals are 5, yellowish. Fruit is grape or olive-shaped with a pointed beak, up to 3 cm. long, slightly prickly. Aril is edible. Bark is pale brown with irregularly cracked appearance.
