- Key identification features : A large shrub or a small tree with dark grey or purple scaly bark. Leaves are trifoliate, leaflets shape is variable, ovate to lanceolate with tufts of hair. Flowers are small, white or yellowish-white and crowded on slender tassel-like raceme. Petals are with fringed scale above the claw. Disc is unilateral, with 4 unequal glands opposite to petals. Stamens 8, styles 2, fruit is red when ripe.
