  • Key identification features : A small tree with apical buds with yellow resins. Leaves are subsessile, ovate, elliptic-oblong. Flowers are axillary and terminal, white, salveryform. Corolla lobes are 5. Berry is ellipsoid or oblong. Calyx crowned at apex of fruit.

  • Comments : Leaf-buds yeilds a resin which is medicinal. Fruits edible, sweet when ripe like Guava fruit
