It is called pendaro in Konkani language. It is called pidar in Nepal.I think adka baare is a Tulu word. The raw green 2 to 3 inches diameter roundish fruits are cooked during Ganesh Chathurthi Festival time of the year by some ethnic sects in the canaras and Kerala. 70 years ago I have collected some of these fruits from a tree only to be alarmed about a herd of Gaur nearby. The fruits and leaves are supposed to be a favourite menu of the Gaur!
