  • Key identification features : A small tree with young parts hispid and internodes hallow. bole is buttressed. Leaves are simple, obovate to elliptic-oblong, leaf-blade is acuminate, scabrid, upto 27 cm long, 11 cm broad, basal nerves 2-4, lateral nerves 4-7 pairs, petiole upto 4.5 cm long. Figs are globose, clustered on tubercles of the stem or on separate leafless rooting runners arising from the trunk. Bark peels off in irregular flakes.
