  • Key identification features : Large evergreen trees with lenticellate bark. 'Root Buttresses' are often seen. Petiole is long, leaf blade is broadly elliptic, abruptly acuminate at apex, acute or rounded at base, glabrous above and scabrous below with 3 basal nerves. Figs are axillary, solitary, globose, about 3 cm across, more or less scabrous-pubescent.
