  • Key identification features : A large deciduous tree with lenticellate branches. Bark grey-brown, rough with age and lenticeled. Leaves are pinnately compound with 5-8 pairs of leaflets, which are ovate, acute with unequal halves of the lamina. Flowers are small (2-2.2 cm), fragrant, in many-flowered panicles. Calyx is five-toothed. Stamens are united into a 10-toothed, cylindrical hollow tube. Fruit is an ovoid capsule (4-6 cm) and with winged seeds.
