- Key identification features : Moderate-sized deciduous trees upto 15 m tall. Leaves are ovate-rounded, with sub-cordate base, apex is obtuse or rounded, 5-9 nerved. Galls are often present on leaf. Flowers are whitish-cream in axillary or terminal panicles, polygamous. Calyx is cup-shape, ovate-acute. Corolla white, longer than the calyx but shorter than the epicalyx. Seeds are brown and glabrous.
