  • Key identification features : Tall herbs clothed with hirsute hairs on stem and on the palmately compund leaves; Flowers are axillary, solitary. Calyx spathaceous, toothed at the apex. Corolla is yellow with purplish center. Anthers are yellow. Fruit is a long-oblong, penta-angled, hairy capsules turning blackish when ripe; Seeds are reniform, ribbed and blackish.
