  • Key identification features : Decumbent or erect herb upto 50 cm tall, usually much branched. The branches are ascending and shorter than the main axis. Leaves are simple, opposite, with leaf-blades linear. Cymes are compact, globose, sessile and flowers are solitary. Petals are minute or absent. Capsule is globose, three valved, bright red to purple in colour. Seeds are globose, bright red.
