  • Key identification features : A small semi-parasitic bushy shrub, 30-50 cm. Stem is cylindrical but the branchlets are four-angled, jointed and green. Flowers are unisexual, small, inconspicuous, sessile and often form a crowded cluster at the node. Floral lobes are four and are deciduous. Stamens are adnate to the floral lobes. Fruit is a globose green berry.
