- Key identification features : A small deciduous tree with exfoliating bark. Leaves are simple, obovate and upto 30cm long, 15 cm broad with crenate-dentate margin. Inflorescence is a few flowered spike. Flowers are yellowish-white. Stamens are many and filaments are subulate. Disk central and intra-staminal, ovary inferior. Fruit is a globose berry.
