- Key identification features : Slender procumbent pubescent herbs with a woody root-stock. Stem is terete, pubescent with deflexed hairs. Leaves are ovate, elliptic-oblong, pubescent on both surfaces, glands are conspicuous beneath, slightly truncate to rounded, margin crenate-dentate, crenate-serrate. Verticils 1-4 flowered lax, arranged axillary. Bracts are setaceous, calyx is 8.5 mm long, mouth straight, 10-12 toothed and ribbed, glandular, hispid on the outer surface, especially on the surface. Corolla tube, as long as the calyx, annulate within. Nutlets are truncate at apex, tuberculate, brown.
